Devcon Titanium Putty is rated at 350F or so but have never used the stuff myself. I have used Z-spar on VW and Porsche stuff as well as air cooled motorcycle heads. It is all in the prep. As for the exhaust, I have yet to see anything last for a significant time.

Whether you try filling the exhaust or not must depend (amongst other lesser things) on if you are running a turbo or not, some bits spewing from your Harley exhaust would pale into significance and could be regarded as a mild PITA when compared to it going through a $2k turbo at 200000 rm.

thanks for all the information. the only thing i need the in the exhaust is to fill a few pin holes and a crack in a vw head it is turbocharged and running on alcohol. the epoxy for the intake is for a harley head thats in a friends bike. i used the two bar epoxy. http://www.manleyperformance.com/dl/201 ... ilding.pdf
i was told by my boss that it was for reshaping ports. i called manley to ask if it was alcohol resistant and the rep told me it was but that it was not for reshaping ports. i had already used it in one harley head i was testing now i am wondering if i have to remove it

I have been told that the Z-spar need to be clear coated to protect from the corrosive alcohol.

Clear coat the exh would last as long as a fart in wind storm

when you say the 2 bar apoxy is only good for filling in holes and such but not meant for shaping..............is that because it hardens up to hard to sand/form in a port?
